The wooden frame of this collection is expertly crafted using beech wood and ash, carefully chosen and seasoned for a minimum of 2 years to ensure long-lasting durability. Each corner and load-bearing area is reinforced with heavy-duty corner blocks for added strength and stability. The entire frame is then encased, ensuring its structural integrity. One inch of foam is wrapped around the frame before upholstery, providing a comfortable yet firm feel and eliminating the four-inch gap between leather and frame found in many competitor products. Our suspension unit features heavy-duty 9 gauge sinuous spring steel, attached to the front rail and spaced two inches apart. Each spring is secured to the frame with heavy-duty clips, with two rods adding extra support to the seating area. In addition, a canvas barrier prevents the foam from wearing down. Five steel springs are used per seat, ensuring strength and comfort in the foam cushion core. Two solid wooden stretchers are also incorporated to stabilize and strengthen the frame against the tension of the springs.
